Where Tally is still the sensible choice
We would rather keep a customer than win a bad sale, so here is the honest side. Tally's installed base in India is enormous, which means almost any accountant you hire already knows it, almost any CA can open your data, and there is a freelancer in every city who can fix a problem at 9pm. That ecosystem has real value.
If your accounting is service billing plus a handful of expense heads, if you have one location and one user, and if your team is fluent in Tally, then switching software solves a problem you do not have. The migration cost, the retraining, and the two months of second-guessing are not worth marginal feature gains.
